Anti-Virus Protection
Edmonds College uses anti-virus software to monitor and prevent computer viruses, worms and other malicious software (malware) from compromising the college network or computers accessing the network. We also provide clean up services if your college computer becomes impacted.

Options
Virus Removal
Repairs or removal of infected computers can be requested if you believe your local computer has been hacked or impacted.
Google Mail Filter
Google uses a built-in service for email and document archiving. Email Antispam/Antivirus is handled natively by the Google email service.

What to expect
- Estimated time for virus removal: 2-5 days, depending on the request.
- All college-owned computers have anti-virus protection installed on them. If you are using a college laptop, you are responsible for keeping the anti-virus up to date. Please contact the Help Desk to schedule periodic anti-virus updates.
Requirements
Virus removal service is only provided to college-owned equipment. If you’ve purchased equipment outside of our computer purchasing service, written documentation showing the equipment was purchased with college funds must be presented.
