START (Student Technology Advice and Resource Team)

START (Student Technology Advice and Resource Team) is a dedicated team of student employees and student interns that offer the Edmonds College student community training, assistance, and provide a student call center. START's goal is to help students get the most out of using campus supported technology.


  • Resolve your technology problems quickly by speaking with our Call Center staff
  • Acquire new skills and learn how to the get the most out of technology used on campus
  • Convenient ways to reach us: by phone, email, walk-in, or online
  • Get insights and tips from other Edmonds College students on how to optimize your time and use tools effectively  


Our service includes:

  • Student call center for asking technology questions or reporting issues
  • Quick resolution with common issues such as:
    • Logging in
    • Password reset or unlocks
    • Advice or tips in using applications
    • Help with printing or connecting to wireless
  • Assistance submitting service requests
  • Issue forwarding, tracking, and follow-up
  • Tutorials and articles for self-support via the START site
  • Instructor-led workshops on popular topics
  • Personal mobile device support

Students working for START receive:

  • Work experience in service desk management, project management, and documentation and knowledge management
  • Networking opportunities and community around technology.
